But... but you've already got one foot out the door. If you are already
leaning (don't fall)! toward C**** or N****, then go, don't let the PENTAX
door hit ya'-yada-yada.
By damn, the MZ-S with PENTAX SMC lenses ~is~ the best value for dollar
combination there is. Your purchasing assumptions boil down comparing the
~middle~ of the EOS line with PENTAX'S new and "best" post-LX body. Try
comparing the PZ-1p. Despite it faults, the PZ-1p whips or ties the entire
EOS line up to the new 1V.
But I can already hear you bellyaching about what you "might have had" had
you gone the other way. That is the last thing this list needs, a vacillating
PENTAX owner, pissin' and moanin' about what might have been, especially
since the "might have been" was a C****.
If you can't wait to see what the MZ-S is all about, that is, put one in your
hand, run a roll of film through it, attach the booster/vertical release,
check it with your favorite-vaunted SMC lenses, I personally will supply you
with a good parachute and wish you a happy landing ... and don't forget to
write from EOSland.
