Point taken, Pal. On a tangent, the rumour of a full-frame sensor camera got me thinking. Would I now crave one of those? Actually not! The only time I shoot wide is landscapes and grabs inside houses with friends. This is always very wide. Using a 14mm lens (effectively 22mm) satisfies this need well. At the other end of the spectrum, my 70-200 is a 112-320mm at f2.8! To cover that range with that aperture using a camera with a full frame sensor would be too costly (even for me ;-) and my favourite portrait lens at the moment is an 85 1.8 (135mm effective) which is rather longer than I would like, but it's surprising how well a portrait lens it is. Forces me back a tiny bit, and I'm getting lovely tight shots with it. A 28-70 2.8 (45-112) stands in for normal portrait work. I have everything covered that I want. Hence, I have no plans to move to a full-frame sensor, even if one were available in my price range. Another 300 2.8 for sports would send me to debtor's prison. In an ideal DSLR world, 2 bodies: 1 full frame, 1 smaller, and a smaller range of lenses, covering most focal lengths :-) .02, Cotty ____________________________________ Oh, swipe me!
