No need to leave K mount lenses to get good quality at a reasonable price. The K 28mm f3.5 has legendary sharpness for under $75. The M 50 f1.4 can be had for a similar price or less if you are patient. (Marco 50mm f4 versions are more rare and more expensive). The good screwmounts are often the same lenses (SMCT 28/3.5 & SMCT50/1.4), but going for about 1/2 the price. I'd be patient and watch for a bargain or two in K-mount... it's just easier!
