Sorry you are annoyed. The PZ-1 manual is ambiguous about spot metering. It
doesn't tell you clearly what is going on.
Page 41 states that Matrix metering doesn't work. ("When a lens with no lens
information contacts (lenses made before M lenses) is used, the
center-weighted metering mode is selected instead of the multi-pattern
metering mode.") But it incorrectly limits the problem to K lenses when it
is K and M lenses. It still doesn't identify the problem with spot and K or
M lenses.
Page 86 says only that you can set the spot button to do spot or center
weighted. Again, it should note the problem with K or M lenses.
Only when I began reading this list did I find a clear explanation from some
of our Japanese contributors. They had picked up on this much earlier...
