Nonsense or not, thats what Pentax Japan call it and how the designers designate it. Also. I don't think it really replaces anything. The *Ist is the first in a new generation of cameras. The current Pentax SLR line-up aren't the cameras the *Ist is designed to coexist with (something thats pretty obvious as the *Ist has better metering and AF system than any other Pentax SLR). Now entry level may be different things. All it might mean is that it is an important, perhaps most important, vehicle for introduction of new users into the Pentax system. It is also the most likely entry platform for Pentax DSLR. It is aggresively priced and hence might have some "entry level" limitations. These limitation may have no bearing on advanced Pentax users as this cameras isn't intended for them. >It has even better spec's than the F75, Dynax 5, or Canon 300V which > are not entry level. > It has a faster winder and shorter sync speed and better AF as the MZ-5n > (and C-AF which only the top cameras had up to now) > It has an AF system including the on screen indication and AF-selection, > which I would like to see at the MZ-S , > It has 17 PF-functions ( the MZ-5n has none) > It has high speed sync, P-TTL and so on and on ... This has nothing to do with it. The feature level are constantly increasing at every price level, not at least at entry level. If features are to be conunted, the MZ-M should be placed above the LX (or Super A for that matter). The MZ-series is fundamentally a seven year old camera. Pl
