German car manufactures have been coasting on their reputation
for excellence for about 10 years now.  It took the Japanese invasion
to get US makers to wake up.  I don't see that happening in Europe.

My BMW 530i  would disagree that the Germans build better cars. Second worst
car I ever bought, the worst being a Pontiac.
