For the *ist-D (not the 35mm *ist !) Pentax wrote in Sales Memorandum #888:
"Compatible lense K, Ka, Kaf and Laf2 mount lenses; screw mount lenses, 
645 and 67 series lenses (adapter required). Some functions may not 
activate depending on the choice of lens"
So K&M lenses work with *ist-D, not with *ist 35mm !
