Graywolf spake thusly: "Entry level cameras from 40 years ago sure were different than they are now weren't they? Anybody out there think an *ist will be usable in 2043?"
Based on some of what I've read here at PDML, some would argue that an *ist won't be usable in 2003! ;) But enough about that... Although I do occasional "photojournalistic" type photography with a PZ-1P, this is only a small percentage, and I strongly prefer my simpler Super Program for the vast majority of my work. (I'm actually considering losing the PZ-1P altogether.) So a simple, well-made early Pentax is going to suit me fine! Thanks to everyone for your input, I really appreciate it. I look forward to my "new" classic. And yes, Glenn, I have a feeling this may be the first of many screw mounts to come! (I'm already pretty sure I will eventually wind up with an ES or ES II). I will eventually post some photos taken with my H1a on my website. Take care.
