Lenses on the whole are cheaper on US eBay and on UK eBay. The problem here is that with an inexpensive lens like a 50mil Takumar, the cost of shipping the derned thing may well make the transaction ridiculous. Hence, it's more sensible to pay a few bucks more for a UK item and pay minimal postage. Of course, international couriers of the 'I have a mate who's popping over to NY' kind are invaluable here, especially for high value items that are much cheaper than here in the UK. Hence, GFM next year will be a great chance to obtain a load of suff - my goody bag will be full on that trip ;-) But not full of 30 year old Takkies...
