Okay, got a Canon Powershot A60 mainly for taking pictures of stuff to sell
on ebay. I mean for higher mp I am waiting for a DSLR (probably the *istD). I
got this as a toy for fun and for what I said above. (Over time going to try to
weed out some of the old junk around here, selling some of it.)

Also got a Memorex flash card reader (works with both I & II, this digicam
uses 1).

Have Windows ME.

Neither card reader (both can use USB 1 version whatever, which I have) or
plugging camera directly into slot -- work. Says I am missing some DLLs. My ME
came installed on the computer. While I have some reset-up disks, I really have
no readable ME disks. (All the files on the disks have to be "built" during
set-up, i.e., I can't search the disks and find an already built DLL.)

If one doesn't buy support from MS one can basically only access their web
pages.

I'll probably solve this one. But I expect it to be long and tedious. (And I
wanna see the pics I've already shot on the Powershot! :-( -- at the recent
NorCal PDML meet -- see them bigger than the review shows. Web page 'em and
print 'em.)

Unless someone has a suggestion that will drastically cut down my research,
web page browsing, and fixing time.

Not really expecting one, but on this list, hey, you never know. ;-)
