I've still got two of the less-favoured M lenses (the 28mm/f2.8, and the 40-80/f2.8-f4). I don't use them much now, but they worked well enough for me in the past. I did get rid of the FA 100-300/f4-f5.6, but even that produced some reasonable shots. Let's face it; a Canon Powershot G1 (or equivalent P&S digital) probably has much cheaper glass than almost any lens from a major SLR product line. But I've got some pretty good (even downright impressive) 8x10s from mine, even though it only has a 3.3MP sensor.
