Well, partly because it's harder for the human visual system to detect the aberration artifacts in film, and partly because digital will exacerbate whatever artifacts are already there, between the regular spacing of the sensor pixels, the color matrix above the sensor, and the algorithms in the camera that interpolate the colors not directly sensed.
