Spot on. In order for digital to totally take over for film in the more advanced 
segments several factors need to fall in place. Firstly price need serious reduction. 
The *istD still cost F5 money. A few years ago that would be seen by many as too much 
for a Pentax regardless. Secondly, digital needs to be much better than film in 
quality at similar price levels in order to take totally over. 
Still, film is an artistic choice with certain look and it will probably stay that 
way. Both Nikon and Canon have signilized that they will continue develop 35mm slr's 
and Nikon will probably soon market an F6. The market for film is probably still 
there.
