Mediocre compared to what? The prints I am getting off my ist D are, to my eye, very good. 12x18 inch prints with no grain or artifacts, colour isn't cartoony, and the images don't have the excessively oversharpened digital look that I have come to hate. The ist D isn't perfect by any means, but it is the nicest camera Pentax has put on the market in a very long time, and is far from being mediocre. William Robb
