Interesting read Cotty.

I think i can relate to the start of his article,on which he mentions that you used to
"shoot for B&W". But
in a way i'm doing with film what he talks about with manipulation. I can shoot a
colour
picture with the
D1 and see what it looks like ,on screen, as a B&W image.Sometimes good, sometimes not.
I
do this
with my film cameras too.I quite often stop and take several shots of the same
subject,one
with B&W,
one with colour, slide or film and possibly now that i am able too,one with what evers
in
the 6x7.So
possibly 3 types of film and 2 types of formats.

It sounds like the current and mostlikaly futre DSLR's are --close to-- MF in images
strengths,so why
not take a shot and see if B&W or colour is the best on screen. Then i could carry only
one
camera
instead of 4.(nay never will happen here anyway.:-))
My only caveat to this is,my B&W film prints still out do my B&W conveted images,on
paper
anyway.
But intersting points. Thanks for the link
Dave
