I have the Tamron 90mm/2.5MF. It goes to 1:1 with optional extension, 1:2 without. For me, it is the best value lens on the market today. Dead cheap and dead sharp, fast, neutral colour rendition and fast enough to double as a portrait lens. Add the AF1.7 and you get a 153mm AF macro lens, ideal for multilegged beasties. All (including AF adaptor) for about $250 if you look around.
