They are no more sensitive to dust than film cameras were, they are however more susceptible as the capture medium isn't renewed frame to frame. I have had absolutely no problems getting my DSLR sensor absolutely clean using clean compressed gasses. Fortunately I've not had problem debris that couldn't be blown away but neither do I expect to encounter such problems in the future.
