I take it your in Canada to, eh:-) I have two K1000's and like them very much.
I believe the battery is available in Radio Shack Canadian Tire etc.etc.Should be the
MS76,or LR-44 thet
will work with it.Dont forget the meter is on when you remove the lens cap.
