There are other differences as well.
The Super A has a folded circuit card on the top the prism, This is very vulnerable and impossible to replace, because they stopped making them years ago. My Super A died after getting a blow in it's head :-(
The ME or ME Super does not have the same problem.
I wouldn't put too much weight on the compatibility of the winder, it was a nice feature to be able to use it on both, and it would have been smart to use these parts on both cameras.
The ME and ME Super both feature a folded circuit board above the pentaprism - have a look at the service manuals (on Mark Roberts' site). FWIW I have both the ME Super and the Super A and I can't see any significant differences in the fundamental design of the body, other than the extra features they added to the latter.
