Yes absolutely. 

I have a box full of scrap ME Supers, never had any trouble with any of my 
Super A's. However the ME super was very popular, not just with photographic 
enthusiasts but the general public and a lot of them got abused/missused. The 
Super A was generally beyond the pocket of the casual user when new.
