Well, I don't see 3 really BRIGHT rings, but looking onto the front element, I do see a few 'rings' near the center that are a bit brighter than the surroundings ... They cover much less than half of the lens diameter, and fall well withing the almost rectangular reflection of the hood. I guess it are mounting rings that are dark-gray while the rest of the innards are nearly black ...
