And if it didn't I wouldn't have even considered it. The camera I stepped up 
from (my old Oly E-10) had both CF and SM slots, you could switch between the 
cards pretty easily and you could even copy card to card but truthfully I 
virtually never used the SM. The cards were too expensive per MB and too small 
so I bought a large CF with a view to using it in future cameras (which I did).
