Yes Herb, we know you went digital ... Your speed is now legendary ... as is my slow, deliberate pace <LOL>
I've got prints I've worked on for 30 years as every now and then I see something different in them, something new, or have learned a new technique that may apply to an old negative And when I "go digital" I'll still take a lot of time working on my prints ... that's just me. Some people go out and buy plug-ins to handle a myriad of tasks while I'll be painstakingly and tediously going through my photos slowly and methodically, making changes and edits by hand. Because I enjoy it, because I like the feeling of accomplishment that results. Different sensibilities and priorities ... I love spotting negs - maybe because it's one of the few things I do well ;-)) Shel > From: Herb Chong <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 10/14/2004 6:08:27 PM > Subject: Re: *ist D image quality-_Was -Stupid Question #999 > > i don't spot negs anymore. one of the reasons i went digital as soon as i > could. slides with Digital ICE was worth the slight loss in sharpness. the > 20 minutes i am willing to spend working on a really good photo is for a > exhibition printing. i've had a handful of photos in the last five years > worth spending more than 20 minutes on. most of them had to have some > elements removed in Photoshop such as a graffiti on a rock that i couldn't > quite frame out of the composition.
