I agree that the Epic is probably the best under $100.00
35 ever made. But you asked about Pentax so I stuck with
the WR's, which I still think a great choice for a kid.
The Epic has a magnificent lens, fast and absolute top
quality, but not a zoom.
As soon as you go to a zoom lens the speed and quality
drop dramatically.
