Hi Jens, I had the A24~50 and ditched it pretty quickly. Way too soft for my taste, not too contrasty, and with the Pentax lens hood it really stunk when the sun was anywhere near the front of the lens. There are a number of hoods that are much, much better. Can't comment of the F.
