It seems they are both rated 2.5 (F) and 2.7 (A) at Photodo.com Not very good. This is only a litle better than the Pentax SMC-FA 28-80/3,5-4,7, which I have owned. It was certainly not outstanding, but still quite usable. I don't know if MTF test can be trusted at all or even taken seriously :-).
