The M24~35 is far superior, optically. Frankly, I'm surprised you find the A24~50 an acceptable lens. But that brings up something i was thinking about earlier, and that is how different people seem to get far different results from a given lens. It's more than sample variation, IMO, but has more to do with what a person expects from a lens, how they use it, the subjects they shoot, and their shooting style.
