A pro camera is anything I darn well think it is.
Hell, "damn" well think it is. Most cameras I've
put my grubby mitts on pass the test if I like the
viewfinder, the meter is understandable, and the shutter
speeds aren't too wacky.

Way back when I was in the selling game, a customer bought a Minolta Maxxum 7000 from me.
She came back with it late the next year (still under the 2 year warranty period) because the camera had quit working.
We sent it off for repair (under warranty) and got a rather high repair estimate back.
Apparently, in the time she had owned it, she had managed to wear out the film transport and shutter.
It seemed she had been shooting a couple of rolls of 36 exposure film every day since she had bought it, working for a small newspaper, and had just plain work out the camera.
Minolta was adamant about not honouring the warranty, which expressly forbade the use of the camera in professional applications.
So, call a camera whatever you want, but use a low spec camera "professionally" as a throw away item.
