Jeez, I can't believe what snobs you guys are!
Most people don't share our geeky predilection for obscure emulsions,
expensive glass, or pleasant bokeh. They just want to take some pictures
and not have to take time out of their lives to figure out one more
thing. Isn't life complicated enough for most people?
Anyway, it's not like if you understand film speed all of a sudden
you'll know exactly what film should be in the camera at all times. I've
been thinking about photography every day for 3 years, and I *still*
have the wrong film in the camera sometimes.
One more thing. There are plenty of people who are extremely intelligent
who can't work a camera, and plenty of dummies making money at it.
Ok, one *more* thing. How many of you understand optics?
