The lady in the photo appears to be wearing pants, or possibly a hobble 
skirt.  Pants on a woman would have been very unusual in 1920.  Also, the 
lady's pose seems odd for the 1920s.  The man's tie may be a straight, 
narrow, hand-knitted one.  Does this help?
