perhaps because infrared film is a lot more grainy. real CCDs are very sensitive to infrared
with the protective screen removed. i remember somewhere a person doing
conversions on Canon (D30?) units to remove the IR filter and replace it
with a IR bandpass filter that allowed no visible light to pass. this was a
permanent replacement unless you sent the camera back to them to put back
the original filter.

Interesting pics. The first one is cool. The second one reminds me of
"Collinwood" (blast from the past, I have rented Dark Shadows through
Netflix).

But somehow doesn't look REALLY like Infra-Red.

Think digital still has a way to go to match film in all respects.
