That does not cover you in case of lightning strike, virus, power supply failure that can sometimes destroy everything in the box or if you accidentally delete the files from the disk. I keep the backup disk in the removable drawer and I remove it after the backup from the machine. You could even put it in the fireproof safe if you want.
