Personally I like Mocha Java if it is reasonably fresh and properly roasted. However, like all serious coffee drinkers I will drink it if hot, brown colored, and bitter tasting.

Mocha Java is probably my favorite among widely available coffees. I also like Sumatra, and I'm now pleased that Costco sells it in three-pound bags. They call it dark roast, but it's not the real heavy-handed dark roast like Starbucks sells. There's no evidence in regard to who roasts it and packs it for them, but it seems to be rather good. The bags are date coded and priced at about $13 for the three pounds. We go through a bag in a little more than a week.
