----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Desjardins" Subject: OT - Nikon Lens compatibility

I know some of you have Nikon's and a colleague of mine has a question.
Will lenses bought for an F3 or FM work on a D70 and what limits (if
any) will there be ?

According to the nikon.ca website,

" Non-CPU : Can be used in exposure mode M, but exposure meter does not function; electronic range finder can be used if maximum aperture is f/5.6 or faster."

So, the short answer is, not really, though a lens can be mounted, and a picture can be taken.
The long answer is: for those people bitching and whining about Pentax lens compatability with the istD, go buy a Nikon D70, and see the real world of bullshit camera/lens support.
