Hi Dave, it's obvious that you and the third photographers know how to take photos.
So they give the rolls to the horrorific shooter of the first photo, to see if he can 
improve his art (??) ... ;-)
We can discuss if your photo is better than the third, but almost anybody liked the 
first, so...

Somebody needs to get the judges some spectacles.  Your photo is an abstract
masterpiece.  The 1st place pick is a horribly blurry poor excuse for a
snapshot.  Good grief.  You don't let these guys touch your film do you?
