Show me a magazine with a picture of a pretty girl a baby or a dog on it 
and I'll show you a magazine that sells.

That has to be the only explanation for first place.  Heck the dog had to 
be held in place and it was still out of focus.

Dave you're photo is first rate.

The third place photo while technically very good is a bit to cluttered.
(Are the photo credits correct did the same photographer submit both 1st 
and 3rd? Hard to believe...)
