Also are you trying to compare your digital images to similar film images? I prefer Velvia when I shoot film and consequently when processing digital images I try to give them a Velvia look (more saturated).
I was thinking along these lines as well Boris. If you and the other party were comparing 1st generation transparencies you might have a basis for drawing some kind of conclusion, and even then it would be difficult.
There's simply too many variables involved to conclude that what you like or don't like about a photograph is due to the lens used. Even subject matter. Take a picture of an ugly girl with a high quality lens and camera. Take a picture of a pretty girl using a Kodak 110 instamatic. Any guesses how many viewers would choose the pretty girl as being the better photo?
