When the IBM PC came out, with an OS supplied by Microsoft, everybody bought them simply because they were IBM PCs. Once that ball started rolling, nothing was going to stop it.

It's nothing to do with how good or bad Macs or PCs are, it's about how much it costs to operate, maintain and change a commercial data centre. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: Joaquim Carvalho [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 18 June 2005 11:39 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Macs - a bit OT but not too much > > Now that Macs have reasonable prices and a secure viruseless > OS why does the majority of people keep buying one Windows PC > after another and won't even consider them as an alternative? > > (I don't want to start a Mac vs PC discussion, just asking because I'm > curious) > > > >
