It is becuse it is inspired in the 'traditional' SLR
layout, but applied in a modern camera with some
modern features. You hardly need a user guide. No
menus, just a few switches and buttons. (Maybe the
less intuitive operation is to override the ISO
setting).
I, too, have concluded that ISO override is the only control you need to look up in the manual!
