Yes, pZ-1p has the film leader control which is handy. On MZ-3,5, when I wanted to mid-roll rewind but did not want the film completely wound back into the canister (as I do not want to fiddle with the film leader puller, which BTW is an ingenious little tool), I learned to open the back at certain timing when I see the frame# 1. Opening the back will automatically stop rewinding. You have to know the timing but I always got more or less the right amount of leader without ruining the frame #1. You can probably practice a bit by loading a cull film. Cheers, Ken
