With Pre-"A" lenses you're always in Av mode, so the camera
will auto-bracket by adjusting the shutter speed.

To get into Tv or Program mode you need to set the lens
to the "A" setting.  If you do that, you're in effect
telling the camera it's OK for it to select the aperture.
