The Meter in the K 1000 can be knocked out of adjustment, all it needs is a competent tech to re-calibrate it, I think it's a matter of adjusting just two screws (pots). I had it done once for my Spotmatic (Can't remember if it was a SP1000 or SPII), and it worked fine for years after, until
I either sold it (the SP1000 I think), or if fell off a cliff, (SPII).

Just dug out my K1000 the other day and thought I'd
shoot a roll. Was looking it over when I discovered
it's metering differently than my other two bodies.
Looking at a given light source, at f/8 it wants me to
use 1/60th sec, my other two bodies with the same lens
want me to use 1/250th. All are set to ASA100.
Checked battery, it was a bit low... replaced it with
a fresh one, it's still off. What gives? What can I do
about it?
