A smiley thought. Remember when amateur camera meant one that did not have all three of those controls? Now it means one that has hundreds (or so it seems) of unnecessary controls.
I do find it ironic that in order to be a photographer these days, you need to know more about how to operate a camera than you need to know about photography.
