I had to look up the Bogen codes and translate them to Manfrotto: that's 055C legs and 229 head. I have those same legs with an 029 head (3047).

Do the newer hex-plates actually grip properly? Mine are the old cork ones and they were hopeless. Any twisting force would cause the camera or lens to loosen. My 6x7 and my bigger lenses have a second hole so I ended up putting an M4 screw through the plate. The screw protrudes into the hole and stops the twisting.
