community to rev up if Pentax were to pass out of existence.
Normally, when a manufacturer goes belly up, their products are fire
sale territory for a while.

In a couple of years time, when Pentax have close down their image/
camera division or is bankrupt, your lenses will be virtually
worthless. It must be much better to take the (small) loss now,
than waiting for it to become worthless.
