I use Fetch for FTP, although you can do uploads right from the desktop as 
well. Apple Care extended warranty is a very good idea. It not only extends the 
warranty but gives you access to Apple's excellent technical assistance and a 
tech tools disk. I have three Macs in the family. I've had one mother board and 
one hard rive replaced free of charge under Apple Care. I would never go 
without it.
