And also are you trying to say the sensor is revealing
the lens to not actually be as good as reviewed or are you
saying the sensor is inferior to film with regards to
the range of optical designs it can handle without sensor
induced artifacts?

I could see where one lens could be superior on digital
and inferior on film AND another design could be
superior on film but inferior on digital because
the current digital is not as good as film for
resolution so a lower resolution lens specifically
optimized for digital might outperform ON DIGITAL
a film design lens which is optically much better on film but
not optimized for digital sensors limitations. (sounds confusing?)
