Correct, but they will buy a newer lens that offers usable features such as AF or zoom before they will buy an old manual focus single focal length, especially when the new lens costs less than the old one and is available on the store shelf rather than having to be sought out on the used market.
It's such a non issue for most people, I just don't understand why you have such a bug up your ass about it.
