Not really. I've shot HIE at 1/125 @f11 in direct sun. These are results I

I've always shot with a #25 which, BTW, is not as drastic as it gets with
HIE. There's another filter, numbered in the upper 90's, that only allows IR
to the film. It looks like a REALLY dark neutral density filter.

The first time out, I developed it in D76 which worked fairly well. The best
results I've gotten are with XTOL, straight, for kodak's recommended time.
