Hey Folks, So, this weekend I did my first serious work with my new *ist-DS. The results are pretty good, considering it was my first time out. I am used to shooting Velvia on film cameras; with my *ist-DS the results I liked the most were obtained by setting the exposure compensation to -0.5 to -1. But I think the intense color saturation is not quite there, though. Maybe I should increase the "saturation" option? Or does this just do nothing that can't be done post-processing in image manipulation software?
It's funny---I don't mind using Velvia, but the idea of using my image manipulation software to enhance the saturation of an image seems cheating. Silly, I know, but there you have it. Barry P.S. Taking photos, then loading them onto my computer for viewing was a trip! No mailers, no fruitless visits to the post office box...the images were right there! Barry A.
